Armor Bearers: No Man Fights Alone
God has called you to a purpose, but He never intended you to fight the battle alone.
In biblical times, an armor bearer was more than a servant; he was a brother-in-arms. He carried the supplies, tended the wounds, and stood in the gap when the battle became too intense to handle solo.
We see this profound brotherhood in 1 Samuel 14:6-7, when Jonathan prepares to advance on an enemy garrison against overwhelming odds:
Jonathan said to the young man who carried his armor, “Come, let us go over to the garrison… for nothing can hinder the Lord from saving by many or by few.”
And his armor-bearer said to him, “Do all that is in your heart. Do as you wish. Behold, I am with you heart and soul.“
At ECMen, we believe every man needs an armor bearer in his life. Whether you are currently in the thick of a battle or preparing for one, we invite you to lock shields with other Godly men.
What is an Armor Bearer Group?
An Armor Bearer Group is a monthly environment of encouragement, fellowship, and growth. It is where our smaller discipleship micro-groups come together to share experiences, testify to God’s work, and sharpen one another.

Here is How It Works:
The Micro-Group (Your Core)
You will be paired with one or two other men. You meet regularly throughout the month to study the Word, practice spiritual disciplines, and hold each other accountable in everyday life.
The Monthly Armor Bearer Gathering
Once a month, your micro-group joins with several other micro-groups to form an Armor Bearer Group (ideally around 20 to 24 men).
The Meeting Structure
These larger monthly gatherings are structured around community and growth. Expect a time of fellowship, sharing testimonies, a focused discipleship talk, and group discussion.
Multiplication
As men grow from Apprentices to Disciples to Servant Leaders, the Armor Bearer group will naturally expand. When it gets too large, it will multiply into new groups, giving other men the opportunity to step into leadership.

Upcoming Meetings & Events
Unless noted otherwise, meetings are held on the fourth Sunday of each month at 7:00 PM at the ECMen Office, located in the bottom floor of the Riverside Professional Building (217 Eisenhower Blvd, Johnstown, PA 15905).
