16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.” – John 3:16-17
This week, I want to try something a little different.
There’s an opening line to a song I really like by Josiah Queen called Garden in Manhattan that goes like this:
“On the crowded streets / All the people that I see / Want them to know the Jesus that I know”
I have been thinking about that line and asking myself a simple question: Who is the Jesus that I know?
Moving Beyond the “Sunday School” Answer
If I am going to share Jesus with others, who am I actually sharing?
Of course, there is the standard Sunday School answer: He died on the cross for my sins, and He is my Lord and Savior. While completely true, now that we have gotten that answer out of the way, I want to ask you to think a little deeper.

Who is the Jesus that you know? What has Jesus personally done in your life that compels you to share His love with others?

Who is the Jesus that others see in us? What have you observed in the words or actions of fellow believers that accurately reflects who Jesus is—for good or bad?
